Kevin Donahoe named Program Director for ATP

Kevin Donahoe has been named the new Program Director for the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP), a multi-year initiative dedicated to standardizing finance, human resources, and research administration business processes and implementing Workday and Huron Research Suite, integrated, cloud-based technology systems, at all UW System institutions. Donahoe will begin his new role on Monday, August 15.

Donahoe joins ATP from The Ohio State University (OSU) with 16 years of extensive experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations, upgrades, and administration in higher education. He most recently served as Senior Program Director of the Workday for Student Services project, where he led all aspects of OSU’s Workday Student system implementation. Prior to that, Donahoe held other ERP and IT leadership positions at OSU, where he led all technical aspects of the school’s Workday HR, Payroll, Finance, and Supply Chain system implementation and business process transformation project.

“Kevin has an extensive background in ERP implementations and business process transformation in higher education, which makes him an excellent fit for his new role with ATP,” said Dr. Joanna Wang, ATP Program Executive. “Kevin will build a middle layer of support between me and ATP’s Strategy Leads. Our program will greatly benefit from his insight, leadership, and Workday implementation experience.”

Donahoe will report to Dr. Wang and work closely with ATP’s Strategy Leads, project managers, and partners at Huron, Workday, and BerryDunn. As Program Director, Donahoe will lead the overall design, configuration, and implementation of the Workday solution for the UW System. This work includes directing the technology architecture, information management, and any related business processes required for a successful rollout. Additionally, he will focus on strengthening collaboration across ATP’s functional and technical teams.

Donahoe has a master’s degree in Business Administration from OSU and a bachelor of science degree from the United States Air Force Academy. He is also a certified Project Management Professional.
