Workday Progress and Updates 

Configuration Workbooks

The HR Design Teams have incorporated feedback from Future State Process Design (FSPD) Playback sessions and guidance from Focus, Validation, and Governance Groups to complete configuration workbooks for each functional area. In October, these workbooks will be loaded into the UW-specific Workday tenant. The Workday tenant will continue to be built out for the remainder of the Architect Stage, ending on November 30, and be available for the team to use during the Configure and Prototype Stage.

What We Are Working On

FSPD Wrap-Up

The HR Strategy Team has completed the Playback sessions, which were the third phase of the HR Future State Process Design (FSPD) sessions. A final deliverable for each FSPD will include a technical document that outlines the current state of design and includes Visio mappings of each business process. The final document package will be approved by HR Governance and process owners.

What’s Next

Customer Confirmation Session Planning

Customer Confirmation sessions are an important step in our Workday implementation and will take place in the Configure and Prototype Stage. These sessions are a walkthrough of the system configurations of business processes that have been built. These sessions are scheduled to take place in March and April of 2023. They will help to gain buy-in, approvals, or changes necessary. We will begin the planning process now to ensure we have engaging and informative sessions for our stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Activities

The HR team continues to work with other ATP teams to support cross-functional activities. In October, we will continue working with the IT team on the following activities:

  • Finalize the HR ancillary systems disposition work
  • Integration Planning – Recruiting and Onboarding key integrations
  • Data and Reporting – Recruiting and Onboarding (up next)
  • Preparation for security profile mapping
  • HR Data Conversion wrap-up
